May 19, 2022

Disturbane (Subject) – 9:41 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly throwing trash around and possibly hit an emergency shut-off switch on the pumps. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
Vandalism Report – 8:06 p.m. – 8000 block of Frese Ln. – A window was reportedly broken on a vehicle, possibly by a BB gun. Report taken.

May 20, 2022

Suspicious Circumstances – 12:10 a.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A reporting party stated subjects were possibly on the grounds of the location. It was determined that it was a possible school prank with multiple students on campus. Cypress Police were notified and dispatched two units. Toilet paper was all over, and trash cans and umbrellas were turned upside down. There did not appear to be structural damage. There were graffiti markings at various locations in the school. Report taken.
Fire – 7:15 a.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller believed that his truck would start on fire. When police arrived, there was no fire and the vehicle was no longer smoking. The vehicle would be towed from the location.
Citizen Assist – 7:21 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party came to the station regarding possible resources for a 13-year-old who was acting out. Family counseled.

May 21, 2022

Trespassing – 4:53 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – The caller stated that there was an ongoing issue with a transient trespassing on the property. The subject was gone on the arrival of police.
Suspicious Subject – 11:34 a.m. – 7700 block of Laurelwood Ln. – Police contacted a male subject who was determined to be passing out flyers for solar services.

May 22, 2022

Traffic Stop – 12:49 a.m. – Walker/Orangethorpe – During a traffic stop, police performed field sobriety tests on the driver. Subsequently, police arrested a female subject for DUI.
Found Property – 4:38 p.m. – Roycroft/Marview – A black backpack had reportedly been in the area since approximately 11 a.m. Report taken.

May 23, 2022

Fraud/Forgery Report – 10:58 a.m. – 8200 block of Somerdale Ln. – The reporting party requested a report regarding fraud charges on a prepaid card for approximately $524 at a location in Downey. Report taken.
Traffic Stop – 11:10 p.m. – Walker/Crescent – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. One subject was detained in cuffs and police searched the vehicle. A male subject was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge. The vehicle was impounded and the subject was booked at Orange County Jail.
Disturbance (Subject) – 11:55 p.m. – 5300 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly being aggressive and hitting nurses with a purse.

May 24, 2022

Flag Down – 9:56 a.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A student did not want to walk to school and requested a ride. Police advised the subject that the police are not a taxi service.
Welfare Check – 9:51 p.m. – Houston/Moody – A pedestrian was reportedly walking in traffic and yelling at passersby. Party advised and will comply.

May 25, 2022

Transient – 6:31 p.m. – 5100 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient was reportedly setting up camp in the parking lot, and a large amount of items were blocking parking spaces.
Vehicle Tampering Report – 8:56 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – The caller believed that a suspect was attempting to steal the wheels from her vehicle and left behind a jack. All four wheels were missing their lug nuts. AAA responded.
Disturbance (Family) – 11:52 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller stated that her sister was refusing to leave and had possibly been drinking, and that the sister had physicallly torn things up in the apartment. The subject then left the apartment with her sons in a vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and performed field sobriety tests. Police arrested a female subject for driving on a license suspended or revoked for DUI, giving a false identity to police, and driving without registration.
