April 4, 2022

Reckless Driving – 1:34 a.m. – Orange/Somerset – From a call for service regarding vehicles doing donuts in the intersection, a male subject was arrested for aiding and abetting during a speed contest and obstructing/delaying an officer, after he intentionally jumped in front of an officer’s vehicle.
Catalytic Converter Thefts – 9:15 a.m. – 6300 block of Gateway Drive – Sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect stole three catalytic converters from three separate company vehicles.

April 5, 2022

Traffic Stop – 9:44 a.m. – Knott/Chapman – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for driving on a suspended license and possession of nitrous oxide, and a second male subject was arrested for 4 warrants.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 2:31 p.m. – 5300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police recovered an unoccupied stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen out of Los Alamitos. From a video of the incident at 3:05 a.m. that morning, the vehicle pulled into the alley behind a business, two male Hispanics wearing dark colored hoodies and shorts exit the vehicle and walk away.

April 6, 2022

Theft from Vehicle – 6:24 a.m. – 4300 block of Garnet – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his gym bag, wallet and flat badge.
Petty Theft – 12:29 p.m. – 5400 block of Ball Rd. – A male subject described as being between6 feet tall and between 30-40 year old with arm tattoos reportedly took the tip jar and coin dispenser from the business and fled in a white SUV. A similar crime with a similar suspect was reported in Seal Beach.

April 7, 2022

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 10:52 a.m. – 5200 block of Vista Del Sol – From a call for service of an abandoned vehicle, police recovered a vehicle that was stolen out of Cypress on 03-20-22. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed. The license plates had been removed from the vehicle, those plates were recovered.
Patrol Check – 3:46 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – While on a patrol check, police observed two subjects walk away from a suspicious vehicle and enter a business. The vehicle returned stolen out of Costa Mesa and was one of 12 vehicles stolen from a dealership. Other officers observed the described subjects exit the business and cross into the shopping center. A short foot pursuit occurred and a female subject and a males subject were taken into custody for being in possession of a stolen vehicle and narcotics charges.
Domestic Violence – 8:51 p.m. – 10000 block of Delano – From a call for service, a female subject was
arrested for domestic violence after she struck the victim and threw rubbing alcohol on his head.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 9:21 p.m. – 5600 block of Newman – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he pointed a revolver at the victim while he sat in his vehicle.

April 8, 2022

Burglary – 4:08 a.m. – 4400 block of Cerritos Ave. – An unknown suspect damaged the rear door handle and made entry into the business. The loss was $300 in cash.
Burglary – 12:22 p.m. – 9500 block of Monaco Dr. – The victim reported that sometime within the last week, an unknown suspect gained entry to his home and stole 5-7 pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $37,000.00.

April 9, 2022

Arrest – 12:09 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of narcotics.
Arrest – 7:28 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for petty theft, resist/delay an officer and a warrant.

April 10, 2022

Hit and Run Traffic Collision – 3:04 p.m. – Orange/Moody – A solo vehicle collided into the chain link fence of the construction zone at Orange and Moody, causing over 100 feet in damaged fencing. The vehicle then attempted to flee the scene and was stopped on Esther Street. The unlicensed driver was identified by a witness on an in-field show up and a report taken. The fencing company was notified but no contact had been made with property owner to determine the desired disposition.
