“Last night was a great team win,” said Segerstrom Coach Joseph Tagaloa on Saturday. “We played complimentary football which allowed us to have success throughout the night.

“Our offense was led by Noah Martinez and Adrian Cervantes. Both of these guys really came up big all night. Defensively we played as a unit. We were able to get stops and force several turnovers. Jesse Martinez and snow Garcia both had interceptions that set up scoring drives.”

Special teams was also solid against South Pasadena, Tagaloa said.

“Our kickoff team really set the tone as they flew around all night,” Tagaloa said. “Josh Martinez and Aiden Valencia came up with a big first down conversion late in the game that allowed us to run out the clock.

“Overall it was great to see everyone step up and rise to the occasion. We are going to prepare for our next challenge as we travel to take on Filmore.”
