Since 1970, Childhelp Orange County has been raising important funding for programs aimed at child abuse prevention, intervention, and services. And it’s events like the annual For the Love of a Child Fashion Show and Luncheon that help the nonprofit continue in that mission. Held at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine and attended by 300-plus guests, this year’s event raised more than $650,000.

In addition to presenting a double-runway show featuring fashions by Balmain, Lanvin, Monique Lhuillier, and more, the fete was a chance to honor longtime advocates and supporters, including Childhelp National Board Member Patti Edwards, who was presented with the nonprofit’s Inspiration Award, and Jonathan Hatami, who was honored with the Children’s Friend Award. In between it all, guests enjoyed a sumptuous lunch, opportunity drawings, and plenty of mixing and mingling. And guests took comfort in knowing that 85 cents from each dollar spent is invested into serving children in need of the organization’s programs.
