The leaders and supporters of the Boys & Girls Clubs wholeheartedly believe that every child has the potential to do great things, and it’s their mission to provide the mentorship, environment, and tools to help kids reach their goals—which makes the $74,000 raised from this year’s Women of Greatness Brunch & Bubbly event so essential. It also presented an opportunity to celebrate the people and partner agencies whose efforts align with the nonprofit. Take, for example, Chef Glenda Galvan-Garcia, who has helped the nonprofit raise close to $50,000 during the last 10 years through her donations of private chef experiences. She was named this year’s Woman of Greatness.

And then there’s Second Harvest Food Bank, a Boys & Girls Clubs partner since 2011. CEO Claudia Bonilla Keller accepted the Community Partner Award on the agency’s behalf for its Kids Cafe program, which provides afterschool meals to Boys & Girls Clubs members and has distributed more than 1.8 million pounds of food to people in need.
