Orange County United Way has promoted Taylor Montano to Executive Director of its United for Financial Security key initiative.
“Taylor brings a unique combination of frontline experience, nonprofit leadership, and a deep commitment to addressing both immediate needs and the root causes of poverty and homelessness to this role,” said Susan B. Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way.
Montano has over eight years of nonprofit leadership experience, specializing in advancing economic mobility and housing stability. For the past three and a half years, she has served as Director of Operations for United for Financial Security, leading programs focused on workforce development, financial education, and free tax preparation.
She also served as Chief Program Officer for a nonprofit providing housing and intensive case management to individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as supporting human trafficking survivors in Phuket, Thailand through shelter, education, and workforce development.
Montano started her career in law enforcement in Orange County and Los Angeles, including on a Homeless Task Force in Skid Row – inspiring her passion for systems change and more equitable social services.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Hope International University.
