WHY: Leads Orange County’s top employer with 36,000 cast members and oversees Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks, three resort hotels and the Downtown Disney District. Promoted in March, succeeding Thomas Mazloum. “Two months into my new role, I’m thrilled to be back home at the Disneyland Resort and settling into Orange County,” she told the Business Journal on May 20.
IN THE NEWS: A 35-year Disney executive, she most recently served as president and managing director of Disney Parks International, where she worked oversaw the company’s operation at Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort. Says her “biggest accomplishment this year was opening the reimagined Disney Adventure World park at Disneyland Paris.”
NOTABLE: After graduating Florida State, Jill has worked at the Florida Department of Commerce before joining Disney as a Travel Industry Marketing representative at Walt Disney World before climbing the corporate ladder – Brand Manager, Director of Theme Park Brand Management, VP Marketing Strategy, Senior VP of Marketing and Sales for Asia Parks and Resorts, to EVP of Global Marketing and Sales for Disney Experiences. Says her mother was her mentor – an “ambitious professional, an army veteran, and a wonderful mother and grandmother.”
