Local tequila brand Playa Dia, co-founded and owned by Rachel Forbes and Dennis Cisterna in Newport Beach, launched online pre-orders this week.
The debut Playa Dia blanco is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave in Jalisco, Mexico, and bottled at 40% ABV with no burn, Chief Executive Forbes said.
The spirit will also be available in Orange County stores, restaurants and hotels later this month. The founders did not disclose the locations.
The tequila blanco comes in a 750ml, all-glass seashell bottle and goes for $79.99 online.
