Anaheim-based Northgate González Market this week completed the transformation of its La Habra grocery store into a second Mercado González, joining the initial 70,000-square-foot concept in Costa Mesa.

The location was updated with new food stalls such as Taquería Los Mesquites, Carnitas Don Miguel, Guisados Las Cazuelas, Rosticería Los 13 Pollos, Cevichería El Pariente and others serving fresh tamales, aguas frescas, cakes, baked goods and tortillas.

Northgate also brought over its indoor Entre Nos Bar, where shoppers can order Mexican beers and craft cocktails. El Moro Churrería, which debuted its first U.S. outpost at the Costa Mesa Mercado, opened next to the La Habra store as well.

The family-owned supermarket chain, with annual revenue of $1.6 billion, operates 46 stores across Southern California and employs more than 8,300 people.
