Levain Bakery Debuts at Fashion Island on Sept. 4

Levain Bakery opens its first Orange County location at the Fashion Island shopping center in Newport Beach on Friday, Sept. 4, on the Macy’s side near Barnes & Noble and Starbucks.

The New York City-born bakery, known for its six-ounce cookies, was founded by Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald in 1995 and now has more than 20 locations in the U.S.

Fashion Island, Orange County’s second largest shopping center ranked by sales, marks Levain’s fourth outpost in California joining locations in Venice and Beverly Hills. The store includes Levain’s full assortment of baked goods and drinks and several retail items, including its recent brand collaboration with Crate & Barrel.

Levain’s newly appointed co-chief executive as of August, Taya Stenson, will also be on-site welcoming customers. The proceeds from opening day will be donated to local nonprofit, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
