March 24, 2022

Illegally Parked Vehicle – 9:30 a.m. – Windsong/Suffield – A vehicle had been parked in the neighborhood for a week and the caller had not seen anyone come or go from the vehicle. Downey Police was contacted for a door knock to ask if the registered owner knew where their vehicle was. The vehicle was marked for 72 hours.
Burglary – 8:24 p.m. – 5000 block of Juniper Cir. – Two subjects reportedly entered a tented home with flashlights. Police contacted a subject who was determined to be with the exterminator company. Unable to locate any crime.

March 25, 2022

Disturbance (Music) – 10:40 a.m. – 4700 block of Windsong Ave. – The caller reported a complaint of loud music that started approximately 60 minutes prior. Party advised and will comply.

March 26, 2022

Identity Theft Report – 2:04 p.m. – 5700 block of San Simeon Dr. – The reporting party received a credit report stating that the RP’s Social Security number was compromised.
Welfare Check – 7:55 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – Police were requested to conduct a welfare check of a possible transient seen laying in the grass with a blanket covering them. The subject checked okay.

March 27, 2022

Disturbance (Music) – 6:11 p.m. – 5000 block of Sausalito Cir. – The caller complained of loud music and loud subjects possibly in the backyard of the location.
Injured Animal – 6:20 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The reporting party found an injured poodle in front of the location. The caller first contacted SEAACA who advised that they did not service this area. The RP then called the police and Dispatch conferenced the RP to SEAACA, who then realized that they do service this area.

March 28, 2022

Fire – 11:35 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A transient possibly set fire to a shopping cart. Police detained one subject and the embers were put out.
Traffic Hazard – 12:33 p.m. – 7900 block of Louise Ln. – A basketball hoop had reportedly fallen over into the roadway. Police assisted the homeowner to removed the basketball hoop from the roadway.

March 29, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 4:25 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A terminated employee was reportedly refusing to leave the parking lot. The subject subsequently left the area. The reporting party was advised to contact the police if the subject returned to the area.
Assault/Battery – 7:19 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A transient reportedly threw a pizza at an employee. No prosecution was desired. Police were unable to locate the subject.

March 30, 2022

Welfare Check – 8:10 p.m. – Walker/Ozawa – A subject was reportedly passed out against a wall. The subject refused any assistance from police and advised that he was just sleeping and was homeless. The reporting party was still concerned for the safety of his family and requested counseling.
Drunk Driver – 10:10 p.m. – 5400 block of Houston Ave. – A subject was reportedly sitting in front of his residence playing loud music. The caller’s husband confronted the subject and he seemed confused and was slurring words. The subject opened a vehicle door and spilled beer in front of the caller’s residence.
