January 19, 2023
Disturbance (Fight) – 2:41 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller stated that 30 adults and juveniles were in a physical altercation. There were no signs of obvious injury and the parties had broken up and were walking away. Police contacted the victim, who stated that there was no physical altercation, only verbal. The parents were notified and took responsibility of the children. The incident would be handled by the school.
Grand Theft Report – 5:58 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A purse containing approximately $1000 was taken from an unlocked car after a suspect reportedly staged a traffic collision. Report taken.
January 20, 2023
Burglary Alarm – 2:27 a.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – The outer glass was broken, but no entry was made. A 23-year-old male subject from Los Angeles was arrested for burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Incident Report – 8:54 a.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – A student reportedly posted an explicit photo of another person on Instagram the day before. Incident report taken. The student would possibly be suspended.
Grand Theft Report – 2:13 p.m. – 5700 block of Fresca Dr. – Two computers were reportedly stolen between the afternoon yesterday and today at 9 a.m. Report taken.
January 21, 2023
Robbery Report – 7:16 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – The victim was reportedly assaulted at Central Park by two suspects and was possibly struck by an object and had his wallet stolen. The wallet reportedly contained $80. Surrounding agencies were notified of the suspects’ description. Police checked the City cameras of the area and did not see anything. The victim then advised that the incident did not take place at Central Park. It was later determined that the subject was struck with an object by his girlfriend in a domestic violence incident. The domestic violence incident was handled by Buena Park Police Department.
Trespassing – 9:07 p.m. – Centerpointe – A subject was reportedly talking to herself and refusing to leave the dining area. Police made contact with the female, who stated gibberish and left the area.
January 22, 2023
Burglary Report – 9:57 a.m. – 5600 block of Vinevale Cir. – The caller, who was coordinating an estate sale for the homeowner, believed that the residence had signs of forced entry. There did not appear to be a loss at this time.
Counseling – 1:25 p.m. – 8100 block of Danby Ln. – Tree trimmings from a neighbor’s yard were reportedly falling into the caller’s yard. Police spoke with the workers, who advised that they would clean up the tree trimmings.
January 23, 2023
Area Check – 7:07 p.m. – Windsong/Moody – The caller advised that a vehicle was loaned to the caller’s son’s father. The vehicle was damaged during this time and the reporting party advised that the subject admitted to damaging the vehicle by text message. Report taken.
Vehicle Check – 10:59 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A vehicle was reportedly parked in the fire lane. Two subjects were detained and a search was conducted. A male and a female were arrested for possession of controlled substance.
January 24, 2023
Bike Stop – 6:32 p.m. – La Palma/Collins – During a bike stop, the subject handed the officer drugs. Police conducted a search. A 42-year-od male subject was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail.
Suspicious Circumstances – 7:25 p.m. – 4900 block of Partridge Cir. – The caller believed that a subject was using a stolen credit card to make purchases and send them to a residence that was supposed to be vacant. It was determined that there was no crime. The subject was able to prove the package was purchased by him on his own credit card. THe subject was advised regarding trespassing.
January 25, 2023
Disturbance (Group) – 8:16 a.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – Parents were reportedly arguing to the front of the school in the staff parking lot. Police determined that the disturbance was verbal only. One party was counseled. The other party was gone on the arrival of police.
Public Intoxication – 7:55 p.m. – Walker/La Palma – A subject was reportedly stumbling and walking in traffic lanes against the flow of traffic. The subject had possibly been drinking. Police contacted the subject, who wanted directions to the hospital. He was advised regarding walking in the street.
