January 12, 2023
Suspicious Circumstances – 7:22 p.m. – 8152 Denni St. (Denni Park) – The caller reportedly heard an unknown subject shaking and spraying a spray can. A male subject was reportedly seen walking into the park earlier.
January 13, 2023
Patrol Check – 3:41 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – Three male juveniles were lighting items off the torch. Counseled.
Incident Report – 6:16 p.m. – 8100 block of Moody St. – The reporting party advised that he was in a traffic collision approximately 15 minutes prior. The subject seemed confused on where the collision occurred. The other vehicle reportedly fled in a northbound direction. Incident report taken.
Traffic Stop – 10:22 p.m. – 91 Fwy./Valley View (Buena Park) – During a traffic stop, police conducted a vehicle search. A 41-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana for sale. The vehicle was stored. The female was cited and released.
January 14, 2023
Traffic Stop – 4:50 a.m. – 91 Fwy./Orangethorpe – Following a traffic stop, police issued a citation to the driver. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
January 15, 2023
Attempted Stolen Vehicle – 6:19 a.m. – 5000 block of Pine Cir. – The reporting party advised that an unknown subject attempted to get into the vehicle, possibly at 5:30 and returning at approximately 6:05 on surveillance. Police were unable to locate the subject following an area check. There was no loss. No entry was made, and the vehicle was secured. The subject had fled the area in a vehicle northbound towards Moody.
Disturbance (Music) – 3:38 p.m. – 4900 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject with a loudspeaker had reportedly been creating a disturbance for several hours. Party advised and will comply.
January 16, 2023
Fraud/Forgery Report – 10:44 a.m. – 5200 block of Banbury Cir. – An unknown subject possibly gained access to debit card information through a Door Dash account and made a purchase in New York. The crime reportedly happened in person in a business in Yonkers. The reporting party advised that he would contact the Yonkers Police Department for a report by phone since the crime occurred in their jurisdiction. The reporting party was offered a courtesy report and declined.
Reckless Driving – 9:06 p.m. – 9200 block of Walker St. – A vehicle was reportedly heard doing donuts int he area, possibly in the parking lot. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
January 17, 2023
Trespassing – 9:01 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A transient was reportedly living in the dumpster enclosure. The reporting party had asked the subject to leave and the subject was refusing. Police contacted the subject and conducted a search. The subject requested shelter but there were no beds available at this time. He stated that he would reach out again the following day.
Suspicious Circumstances – 4:47 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A female subject called on behalf of her daughter, who was afraid of her boyfriend. The daughter was slightly uncooperative with police, but stated that her boyfriend was armed and had a fake gun. The boyfriend reportedly stated that he did not want to go back and was willing to get in a gun battle with cops. The area checked okay and police were unable to locate the boyfriend.
January 18, 2023
Burglary – 12:03 a.m. – 7000 block of Moody St. – Two or three subjects in black clothing were reportedly breaking the door and windows at the business. Police responded and it was not immediately clear if the subjects made entry. Police were unable to locate the subjects on an area check. Report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 5:23 p.m. – 5200 block of Bransford Dr. – A subject was reportedly walking in the street and talking to himself. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Counseling – 5:39 p.m. – 8500 block of Salisbury Ln. – A neighbor on Banbury reportedly kicked a sign and flipped off a camera at a 5 p.m. The reporting party requested that the neighbor be advised to not tamper with her property. Police contacted the subject’s mother, who advised that she would speak with him.
