Crean Lutheran (Division 2) is top seeded and JSerra (Division 1) second seeded in the CIF girls beach volleyball playoffs that begin this week.
Beach volleyball is in its second CIF championship season.
The playoffs begin with wild card matches on Tuesday and first-round matches on Thursday.
There will be 71 schools trying to bring home CIF titles. The tournaments will conclude with the championships at Long Beach City College on Saturday, April 27.
After top-seeded Crean Lutheran, Oaks Christian is second, Long Beach Wilson third and Campbell Hall fourth in Division 2.
In Division 1, Mira Costa is seeded first, JSerra, the Trinity League champion, is second, Redondo Union third and San Marcos fourth.
Crean Lutheran, the Crestview League champion, swept Xavier Prep and Esperanza to finish the regular season with a 16-0 record.
