Irvine High School girls volleyball standout Cozie Zimmerman has signed a national letter of intent to continue her academic and beach volleyball career at Concordia University in Irvine, according to her mother Holiday, the coach of the Vaqueros squad.

Cozie Zimmerman began playing indoor volleyball with local club teams and Irvine four years ago, according to her mother. The Irvine senior and her teammates led Irvine to the Pacific Coast League indoor championship.

And along with teammates Taylor Tran, Maddie Kuan and Rakshana Sasikumer, she was part of the first girls beach volleyball team at Irvine High School.

The team competed in the Crestview League this season.

“Cozie’s love for beach volleyball has grown considerably these past few years,” her mother added.
