Childhelp’s Rich Saul Memorial Golf Classic Celebrates 44 Years of Hope and Healing for Children

Orange County’s Childhelp chapter will host its 44th annual Rich Saul Memorial Golf Classic on Monday, March 18, 2026 at the beautiful Newport Beach Country Club, co-chaired by Debra Violette and Cathie Caporaso. This year marks the 14th year the event has been named in honor of the late Los Angeles Rams All-Pro Center, Rich Saul, a longtime Newport Beach resident who was deeply involved in numerous charity campaigns. Guests will enjoy appearances by NFL Rams legends and the Rams cheerleaders, carrying forward Rich’s legacy and celebrating his impact.

The sold-out event is expected to raise over $600,000 to support the Childhelp foundation and its commitment to treating and preventing child abuse. Last year’s event raised over $605,000 for the organization’s mission, directly funding services that protect children, support families, and work to break the cycle of abuse.

The tournament, hosted by Eileen Saul and Assistant Coordinators Julie Thornton-Adams and Tracy Abel, will be followed by an awards dinner, where longtime supporters Pam and Bud Pharris are to receive the 2026 Childhelp Rich Saul Heart & Soul award. The event will also include live and silent auctions, which are open to anyone via the website childhelpocgolf2026.com.
