Osen Hospitality Group, operator of the Izakaya Osen restaurants in Irvine and Silverlake, will open two new Japanese dining concepts at the OCVibe development in Anaheim.
Founder and chef Damon Cho plans to launch a new concept, Osen Urban Table, which will open alongside the previously announced Best Friend by chef Roy Choi.
Chef Cho will also debut a handroll bar concept called Osen Handroll at the Katella Commons market hall inside The Weave office building, joining a collection of 21 chef-driven food stalls.
“It gives us the opportunity to share our approach to Japanese dining in two different ways while becoming part of a new community in Orange County,” chef Cho said in a statement.
The standalone restaurants and Katella Commons are part of OCVibe’s first opening phase in 2027, beginning with the debut of the district’s 5,000-person capacity concert hall in March.
