The Seal Beach Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for committing a burglary and stealing a vehicle inside of the Leisure World community.

On Sunday, July 24, 2022, at about 5:00 am, an unknown male suspect entered into the maintenance yard located within the Leisure World senior community, located near 13533 Seal Beach Boulevard.

The suspect entered the workshop, loaded a cart full of tools, and placed the tools into a white pickup truck. He then stole the tools, truck, and left the scene shortly thereafter.

Days later, the vehicle was recovered abandoned in the city of Carson by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. However, the tools were missing.
The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, approximately 40 years of age, about 6’00” tall, wearing a black t-shirt with graphics on the front, dark colored pants white tennis shoes, and black gloves (see photos below).

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Chris Hendrix at (562) 799-4100 ext. 1112 or [email protected].
