May 26, 2022

Health & Safety – 8:56 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly injecting drugs in the bushes to the rear of the business. When police approached to conduct a search, the subject attempted to flee and was placed in cuffs. The subject was arrested for a felony parole violation and transported to Orange County Jail.
Medical Aid – 12:58 p.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A subject fell in the parking lot and was bleeding. The subject was transported to the hospital.

May 27, 2022

Flag Down – 1:53 p.m. – Cambury/Redford – A female subject believed that her ex was following her. Police followed the female to her parents’ address. The female stated a history of domestic violence and that there had been a previous order of protection in place but it was no longer active.

May 28, 2022

Traffic Collision – 1:23 a.m. – Walker/Houston – OCFA responded for a vehicle turnover accident. There was also a sheered hydrant. The water company and Public Works were both notified. OCFA notified Edison. Cypress Police Department was requested to assist. Police performed field sobriety tests on the driver. A female subject was arrested for DUI. Edison advised that they would not have full power up until 8 p.m. Power was partially restored by 4 a.m.
Health & Safety – 12:59 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The reporting party advised that a male subject was threatening a bread vendor with a screwdriver. The victim advised that the subject warned “Better watch out next time.” Police located and arrested a male subject for appropriation of lost property and possession of a controlled substance.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:34 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly asking for money and yelling at customers, as well as drinking alcohol in front of the business. Police contacted the subject and warned him.

May 29, 2022

Traffic Stop – 2:44 p.m. – Walker/Bransford – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a 15-year-old male. Police were advised that the subject’s father was at a location in Cypress where he had locked his keys in his vehicle and requested that his son bring him more keys. The vehicle was towed from the location and the juvenile released to his parents. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

May 30, 2022

Trespassing – 4:23 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly going through trash on the patio. The subject previously changed clothes inside the restaurant. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:07 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – A transient from earlier had returned to the business. The business locked the doors. The female transient was arrested for trespassing and refusing to leave at a peace officer’s request. The subject was transported to jail.

May 31, 2022

Suspicious Circumstances – 8:00 a.m. – 7700 block of Furman Rd. – A subject in a vehicle was reportedly loitering in the area. The subject reportedly approached a female juvenile and her grandmother on Driday asking what time the granddaughter gets out of school. The incident was already reported to the school.
Petty Theft – 6:33 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly took three bottles of laundry detergent. One bottle was found in the parking lot. The bottle was returned, but it was broken. Report taken.

June 1, 2022

Keep the Peace – 5:05 a.m. – 4800 block of La Palma Ave. – The reporting party stated that a suspect from an assault/battery was present at the location and the RP believed that there mgiht be physical again if went into work. The RP and the suspect were coworkers. Assisted.
Assist Outside Department – 5:11 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – A vehicle pursuit of a stolen vehicle was approaching from the west. The vehicle collided with the traffic light at Walker. One subject was taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office. The subject was injured but refused medics. La Palma Police assisted with traffic control until the vehicle was towed and the roadway cleared.

June 2, 2022

Police Information – 5:43 a.m. – 91 Fwy./Valley View Off-ramp – A sedan was reportedly on fire at the off-ramp from the westbound 91 Freeway at Valley View. California Highway Patrol notified. Incident handled by OCFA.
Assault/Battery Report – 12:45 p.m. – 5100 block of Banbury Cir. – The reporting party was on Facetime with a friend and reportedly witnessed the landlord push her around. Police made contact and no prosecution was desired. Both parties were counseled.
Identity Theft Report – 2:42 p.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – The caller reported fraudulent charges on an EBT card. The loss was $730. The bank was unable to provide the location of the withdrawals. Report taken.
