Wescom, a leading Southern California Credit Union dedicated to giving back to the local communities it serves, is helping residents make the transition to Daylight Saving Time by picking up their tabs at select The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® locations across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties on Sunday, March 13, 2022. This initiative marks the 8th Annual #WescomKindness Daylight Saving Time event for the organization.

New this year, Wescom is offering recipients of #WescomKindness a chance to win $500 by posting a photo of themselves and their beverage on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtag #WescomKindness. The winner will be chosen randomly from all qualified entrants and details of how to enter to win will be available at the participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® locations on March 13th.

“Giving back to our local communities with #WescomKindness is always a priority,” said Tamar Atamian, Vice President Marketing, Wescom Credit Union. “And giving away $500 to one lucky Southern Californian will add an extra element of fun to what is now our 8th annual Daylight Saving Time coffee giveaway.”

Participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® locations are available online at wescom.org/cbtl. Guest purchases will be paid by Wescom, up to $15 per transaction, beginning when doors open the morning of March 13th until $2,000-worth of bills are paid for at each of the 22 designated Southern California locations.

“We’re delighted that Wescom has chosen to surprise our guests again this year by treating them to their purchases,” said Christy Smith, Director of Marketing, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® brand. “Wescom and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® are each headquartered in Southern California so our participation in this annual event is even more meaningful as we both work to foster a greater sense of community.”

Wescom has been dedicated to improving the financial lives of Southern Californians for more than 85 years and has a long tradition of showing #WescomKindness to residents of its community. In addition to the Daylight Saving promotion that was initiated in 2015, the Credit Union has provided more than $80,000 in tutoring scholarships to local college-bound high school students through Sylvan Learning Centers since 2020.
