Los Angeles Dodgers, Major League Baseball, and baseball fans everywhere are mourning the loss of Vin Scully, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers while I was a kid in the San Gabriel Valley.
I lay on a bed in the screened-in extension of our house, listening on a scratchy handheld transistor radio as Scully called Sandy Koufax’s perfect game:
