Beginning June 16, the 30-day public comment period opens for the Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP). The UFMP will guide the City in achieving a 30% canopy cover by 2055! Through July 16, community members are encouraged to review the UFMP and share thoughts on Irvine’s urban forestry goals and the City’s plan to get there. Your critical review will ensure the UFMP is reflective of community values and priorities, and will help shape the practices, guidelines, and initiatives the City will prioritize as urban forestry actions. The UFMP can be reviewed, and comments can be emailed to ufmp@dudeky.com.
