Due to this week’s rainy conditions, rainouts for high school baseball in Orange County have been widespread this week.

But coaches have been able to reschedule games starting on Thursday. As of Wednesday, it looks like there is no rain in the forecast, but fields will take time to dry out from the soaking.

Updates:

FULLERTON-TROY

Fullerton and Troy had their Freeway League game at Angel Stadium scheduled for Wednesday rained out. No makeup date has been announced.

SUNNY HILLS-CANYON

Sunny Hills officials announced on Twitter Wednesday’s game with Canyon was postponed. No makeup date was announced.

CDM-SAN CLEMENTE

Corona del Mar and San Clemente were supposed to play Thursday night at Angel Stadium, but CdM was notified by the Angels that the game won’t be played there because of unplayable conditions. The game will instead be played on Thursday at Corona del Mar.

ESTANCIA-CALVARY CHAPEL

A big Orange Coast League series between Calvary Chapel and Estancia, has been rescheduled for Thursday at Estancia and Friday at the Orange County Great Park, field eight.

Both games will start at 4 p.m., according to Estancia Coach Nate Goellrich. Estancia is ranked No. 1 in the CIF Division 5 rankings and Calvary Chapel No. 4.

PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE

Irvine and Woodbridge were supposed to play Wednesday and Thursday, but both those games were postponed, according to Woodbridge Athletic Director Rick Gibson and baseball coach Ryan Brucker.

The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at Irvine, beginning at 11 a.m. Irvine will be the home team for the first game and Woodbridge the home team for game two, which begins 30 minutes after the first contest.

University will host Beckman in a PCL doubleheader Saturday, according to Uni Coach Wesley Shaw. The first game will be at noon with the second game to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.

Northwood’s game at Portola Wednesday was postponed and may be made up Saturday at Portola, according to Coach Doug Euper. Euper is hoping Thursday’s game with Portola at Northwood can be played but there was a lot of water on the field.

“The players and coaches worked for about two and a half hours today trying to get the water off of it,” Euper said. “I don’t think we will know until around noon tomorrow if the field will be playable though.”
