CRAIC IN THE STONE
The six-member, female-fronted band has become a cornerstone of the local Irish folk and rock scene in their decade of performing together. Whether it’s a traditional Celtic tune or a song by the Cranberries, the group always brings their own twist to fan favorites. They’ve released four studio albums together and have performed across the region. RACHMANINOFF & SIBELIUS
The Pacific Symphony will kick off its opening weekend with performances of Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2” and Sibelius’ “Symphony No. 1.” The groundbreaking pieces of music capture feelings of struggles, both personal and national. Serving as a reminder of perseverance and triumphs in the face of adversity, the pieces are deeply emotional and powerful. HABITAT: MAKING THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENT
Step into a time capsule of California’s beautiful landscapes dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The pieces on display in the exhibit capture areas of the state during a pivotal time, before they were largely urbanized and developed. The collection of artwork is from a handful of artists and includes vibrant and beautiful oil paintings.
