Three stakes worth a guaranteed $225,000 will be run during the upcoming Autumn Festival at Los Alamitos.
The seven-day meet is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 16 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 25. Racing will be conducted Friday-Sunday (Sept. 16-18) the first week and Thursday-Sunday (Sept. 22-25) the final week. Post time will be 1 p.m.
The first stakes race will be contested Saturday, Sept. 17. Three-year-olds & up bred or sired in California will run a mile in the $75,000-guaranteed E.B. Johnston.
The remaining pair will be offered the final weekend of the meet. Older horses will compete in the $75,000 Los Alamitos Special at 1 1/16 miles Saturday, Sept. 24 and the closing day program Sunday, Sept. 25 will be headlined by the $75,000-guaranteed Capote for 2-year-olds at 6 ½ furlongs.
