Thomas House Family Shelter partnered with the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) and 23 aligned nonprofits for the Help Them Home Giving Day, a collaborative online Giving Day to generate support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Orange County. Funds raised for the participating organizations will help offer a range of housing, community outreach, education, and supportive services. Thomas House Family Shelter today announced 226 donors helped raise $150,855 which will directly impact current resident and graduate families with services that range from food and housing support, financial literacy, parenting and career education, and youth and adult mental health services. In total, OCCF’s Help Them Home Giving Day raised $2,385,897
Thomas House Family Shelter is dedicated to providing families with children a supportive environment and the resources necessary for them to reach their ultimate goal: obtain & sustain permanent housing! The more than $150,000 will provide continued support to the Case Management, Career Development, Youth Development and Homeless Prevention services.
In addition to Thomas House Family Shelter, other participating organizations included: American Family Housing, Casa Teresa, Inc., Charity On Wheels, City Net, Colette’s Children’s Home, Inc., The Eli Home, Inc., Families Forward, Family Assistance Ministries, Family Promise of Orange County, Friendship Shelter, Inc., Grandma’s House of Hope, HomeAid Orange County,Homeless Intervention Services of OC, Illumination Foundation, Mercy House Living Centers, Our Father’s Table, Pathways of Hope,Robyne’s Nest, Serving People in Need, Inc., South County Outreach, StandUp for Kids, Orange County, The Salvation Army Orange County, and WISEPlace.
