ANAHEIM, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2024) — The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon weekend starts Friday, and here’s what to know about the runs and road impacts on city streets.
If you’re taking part, the weekend promises to bring together two passions: running and Disney.
If you’re not taking part, you’ll want to take note of the events and impacts to city streets. You can see run route maps with road closures here.
There will be limited road closures and rerouted traffic on city streets.
Both runs start early in the morning with most road impacts from 4-10 a.m.
Many streets start reopening around 8-9 a.m.
Businesses and homeowners will have access with short amounts of time where there may be no access.
The half marathon on Sunday will see the most impacts with limited road closures and rerouted traffic.
The half marathon goes from The Anaheim Resort to the Platinum Triangle area including Angel Stadium of Anaheim, ARTIC and Honda Center.
We will see limited, early Sunday morning impacts along Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue, Ball Road, State College Boulevard and others.
You’ll want to plan ahead and go around route streets for your own convenience.
For those wanting to cheer on runners, the stadium, arena and ARTIC are your best spots.
Saturday’s 10K takes place in and around the theme parks in The Anaheim Resort, with limited early morning impacts along Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue and other streets.
