The Westminster Police seek suspects in shooting incident involving a car with an infant

WESTMINSTER, CA. – On January 1, 2025, at approximately 9:30 PM, members of the Westminster Police Department responded to the area of Goldenwest Street and Trask Avenue reference a shooting investigation.

Officers on scene learned that an unknown male, standing on a street corner, fired multiple gunshots into a vehicle that was occupied by two adults and their eight-month-old infant. The driver was struck and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, both the adult female passenger and infant were not hit by gunfire.

The shooting appeared to be a targeted offense with the motive unclear at this time. The suspects fled in a black sedan. The Westminster Detective Bureau has since taken over the investigation and is working active leads into the crime.
