As summer is in full stride with Warped Tour around the corner, music fans are very happy these days at the great shows coming to SoCal.
We last saw this storied band at The El Rey as they tuned up for their set at Cruel World, and the reviews were very-very good. Which band from our past is shaping our concertgoing future? It’s a band from England called The Cult.
These days they have been tour as their original band name Death Cult, and lean singer Ian Astbury sounds just as electric as ever.
For fans, we got the news that The Cult will be back at it with a North American tour that blasts off in October. They will perform as both the iterations of the band. Joining the tour, Patriarchy will provide support throughout the tour.

Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy remain core members of the band, their collective sound and energy remains the talk of the music industry. Their setlist covers the three phases of the band, including the pre-Duffy iteration Southern Death Cult, Death Cult, and the Cult’s first two records, 1984’s Dreamtime and 1985’s Love.
