One of the nation’s premier flamenco companies, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana returns to our stage with a stunning new work choreographed by two of flamenco’s most exciting artists: Jose Maldonado and Karen Lugo—with an original live score by guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz. De la Frontera asks: “What is stronger—what unites us, or what separates us?” Flamenco Vivo’s star-studded cast includes Maldonado, praised by The New York Times for his “bursts of brilliance,” and Lugo, lauded by the Washington Post for her “triumph of style.” De la Frontera is a passionate display of the power of flamenco to transcend barriers.
Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana will take place Saturday March 18 at 8:00pm at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.
