Taco Bell is opening the next two locations of Live Más Cafés on Sept. 16 and one will be the first to open in Orange County.
The fast-food chain will debut the specialty drinks concept at the existing Taco Bell across the street from the University of California, Irvine. The second will be at a restaurant in San Diego.
The new cafés are part of Irvine-based Taco Bell’s plans to add 30 more in California and Texas this year following a successful test in Chula Vista. One is also slated for the city of Orange.
Live Más Cafés are part of the brand’s long-term strategy to drive $5 billion in beverage sales by 2030. The cafés feature more than 20 specialty drinks such as agua frescas and flavored coffees.
Taco Bell, Orange County’s largest restaurant chain by systemwide sales, in August reported second quarter same-store sales were up 4%. The chain currently counts over 8,700 locations as of June.
