On Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sunset Beach Community Center, the Tin Can Beachcombers will be hosting the first Sunset Beach Music Festival.

This festival pays homage to a town that’s been producing great musicians for years.

Come take part in this first-time event and help make this an annual event that will continue to grow with outstanding performances in years to come.

Come experience a great day of live music starting off at 10:30 a.m. with local phenoms, the Blue Byrdes. This young group of talent plays the likes of the Allman Brothers and Santana. Their mind-blowing performance will leave you tearing and full of goosebumps.

Next up is Bar Friendly, a local trio that plays the deep cuts. These guys have been getting Sunset Beach into groove for many moons and continue to bring the goodness to wherever they perform. Cheers to Bar Friendly and their amazing show!

Now, for all the Blues people out there, we’re bringing in Cat Reed and the Sunset Sinners to do what they do. Be sure to put on your dancing shoes, because Cat Reed is coming with the Rock and the Blues.

At the center of the event will be one of the oldest acts in town. Led by Scott Dodson, Brickson Perella will be playing songs that over 40 years old. Come check out these classic songs that originated in Sunset Beach … Surf Rock at its finest.

The next performer, Alice Wallace, is dropping in off of her current tour to play a set in her old stomping grounds. Alice Just released her latest album, “Here I Am.” Living in Nashville, Alice is sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in country music. Come down to experience Alice’s amazing performance.

Taking stage at 4:20 p.m., RAS1 is a DreamWorks recording artist and a founding member of the Long Beach Dub Allstars. RAS1 is definitely qualified to represent the LBC! Come down and hear RAS1 play his heart out and give you a taste of what roots music from Long Beach sounds like.

For the final act, the Tin Can Beachcomber’s have brought to the stage, Grammy Award winning producer, DENM for an acoustic set! With his recent release, “Slum Beach Denny,” DENM has been on the move playing for audiences all over the nation. Catch DENM at this intimate setting while you can!
