Over the past few weeks, a police detective, who is assigned to the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF), has been communicating with a human trafficking suspect over social media. The suspect recruited what he thought was a female to work for him, according to the Irvine Police Department.
On Wednesday, the suspect drove from the Bay Area to Orange County to meet and pick up the female he thought he was talking with.
Upon his arrival, he was met by police detectives from the OCHTTF, who swiftly took him into custody.
Inside the man’s vehicle was a loaded Glock pistol with a 30-round magazine and a 50-round drum magazine.
Lawrence Everett Henderson, 35, of Stockton, was arrested and booked at the Anaheim Police Department Jail on an extensive list of charges, including pandering, attempted pimping, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting arrest, and possessing high-capacity magazines.
The Irvine Police Department thanks all of the OCHTTF Detectives who work tirelessly to stop human trafficking and to rescue victims!
