As the founder and principal designer of 29 Eleven Interiors, Porter designed this front courtyard with the home’s interior in mind. “Planning an outdoor space is all about blending function, aesthetics, and connection,” Porter says. She pulled inspiration from the home’s mix of materials, including the textured stone surfaces, and then layered in colors and patterns to bring this resort-like space to life. While the backyard serves as a family hangout, this area was designed for adult gatherings, featuring an L-shaped lounge and facing sofas to encourage conversation. 29eleveninteriors.com
1 COUCHES
“The unique wood detailing and fresh white cushions lent just the right amount of personality while the size was perfect for the space.”
2 TABLE
“We wanted the coffee table to ground the seating area, so we chose an oversized carved limestone piece that introduces an earthen element.”
3 OTTOMANS
“We love the color green! Throughout the home, it was one of the main accents, so it made sense to incorporate more of that tone into the exterior space.”
4 FIRE PIT
“A fire feature is a staple to open-air spaces. Whether cozying up with a cocktail or enjoying morning coffee, incorporating this element in the design is often a yes for us.”
5 THROW BLANKETS
“We carefully chose colors and textures that complemented the palette, introducing another layer of softness that made the space feel both cozy and visually balanced.”
6 GREENERY
“We wanted to have privacy with a blend of pet-friendly plants that made the outdoor space feel like a private oasis.”
