Small Business Development Center to speak at Los Alamitos Chamber Networking Breakfast in March

Please join the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce for their March Networking Breakfast on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Maderas Steakhouse, 3642 Katella Ave. in Los Alamitos. The breakfast will feature speakers discussing how the Small Business Development Center can grow your business.

The featured guest speakers are Mike Daniel and Manal Richa.

Mike Daniel is the Regional Director of the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network, which assists current business and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties and provides direct one-on-one consulting and training. The OCIE SBDC is hosted at California State University, Fullerton through the College of Business and Economics.

As a business owner and entrepreneur himself, MIke started his career as the owner of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location in Manhattan Beach. He has gone on to open several additional locations throuout the region and currently owns store in Huntington Beach and Long Beach. Mike is also the owner of Sugar Pop Sweet Shoppe in Long Beach, which is an old-time candy store based on “fill-it yourself” options.

Mike is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton and resides in Huntington Beach. He has been married for 20 years and has two children that he is grooming to take over his businesses, so that he can retire.

Manal Richa is the Director the California State University Fullerton Small Business Development Center, one of nine service centers under the OCIA SBDC Network, offering no-cost on-on-one assistance and training to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in Orange County. CSUF SBDC helps entrepreneurs and business owners launch and expand through growth planning, startup assistance, marketing strategies, access to capital, building teams, and more.

Manal has founded multiple businesses including: The MarCom Network, a marketing and creative consultancy firm, helping small businesses build exposure and increase their sales; and BreakThrough Networking, Inc., where she helped clients build relationships, leverage connections and use different social media platforms to take their business to the next level.

An Irvine resident, Manal is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where she earned her B.A. in communications and advertising. She also earned her MBA in organizational leadership from Brandman University.
