The City of Seal Beach is hiring for a part-time Recreation Specialist and multiple part-time pool lifeguards. The position of Recreation Specialist is a part-time, non-benefited position. Work hours may vary, and schedules can be up to 29 hours per week as needed. There are no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. The position works primarily at the Seal Beach Tennis & Pickleball Center, but also periodically assists in facility rentals and adult sport programs.
The position of Pool Lifeguard is a part-time, non-benefited position. Essential functions include performing, observing, and ensuring the safety of participants in recreational and organized swimming activities; maintaining a safe aquatic environment, and assisting with daily activities and operations of the program; communicating pool rules; assisting instructors with class preparation, taking inventory, cleaning of equipment, and registration as needed, and performing related duties as required.
