The City of Seal Beach has been divided into voting districts for City Council seats for many years. This year’s general election in November will see ten candidates running for three seats with only one incumbent running for re-election.
One district, City Council District 1, has an incumbent running. Its filing period closed on Friday, August 12.
Two districts, City Council Districts 3 and 5, have no incumbent running. The filing period for these two Districts will close on Wednesday, August 17.
According to Seal Beach City Clerk Gloria Harper, the candidates are:

District 5
