When Linda Young’s Elite OC Productions is in charge of planning a grand event, you can be certain it’ll be an unforgettable experience. And for the Diwaliben Trust Signature Soiree — dubbed La Fete de l’Opera, One Night in Asia — the team truly delivered. The evening featured a dramatic fashion show with models draped in exquisite traditional dress, a Bhangra dance performance by Bollypop LA, hip hop and K-pop performances by Genuinely Engaging Entertainment, and gourmet cuisine — all against a luxurious on-theme backdrop at Fête The Venue in Costa Mesa.
Through it all, guests were transported to the distant lands of China, India, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, while raising valuable dollars for the Diwaliben Trust, a nonprofit that provides support to rural communities in India through educational programs, health care, and economic opportunities. The agency has helped an estimated 20 million people. “My true passion,” said Young, “resides in creating over-the-top experiences that bring together like-minded individuals for a great cause.” Mission accomplished.
