SAPD police officers arrested a gangbanger on parole and recovered a gun and ammo

It’s funny how criminals in Santa Ana always try to run from our police officers – but they rarely prevail. For one thing many of these criminals are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. In quite a few cases they are also running around with their pants hanging down around their thighs, and often trip over the pants as they try to run.

In the latest case of dumb suspects trying to run from police officers SAPD gang detectives tried to contact a known gangbanger who was on parole. The gangbanger was hanging around with a juvenile, assuredly passing on his dubious “wisdom” when a foot pursuit ensued.

As is usually the case the police officers quickly detained the two suspects and, to no surprise, they found a loaded firearm and an ammo magazine, which were recovered nearby.

The pair were subsequently arrested and booked at the Santa Ana City Jail on multiple firearm and gang-related charges. As the adult gangbanger was on parole he can expect to return to prison to finish out his original sentence. The juvenile will most likey end up at the O.C. Juvenile Hall.
