Santa Ana is ranked as the 17th most expensive city in which to rent an apartment according to Zumper’s latest Los Angeles Metro Report., at $2,080 for a 1-bedroom apartment. The report highlights the most and least expensive cities as well as the markets with the fastest growing rents.
The price of one bedroom units grew 1.5% to $2,080, while two bedroom units increased 2.1% to $2,900.
The greater L.A. area ranked the 8th most expensive in 1-bedroom rentals in October, with a median cost of $2,400.
The Most Expensive
- Santa Monica ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $3,050.
- Irvine was the second priciest, with rent at $2,900.
- West Hollywood ranked as third, with rent at $2,860.
The Least Expensive
- San Bernardino was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,500.
- Riverside ranked as the second least expensive, with rent at $1,760.
- Hawthorne was third, with rent at $1,790.
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
- Oxnard had the fastest growing rent, up 10.4% since this time last year.
- Redondo Beach saw rent climb 9%, making it the second fastest growing.
- Huntington Beach was third, with rent increasing by 8.1%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
- San Bernardino experienced the largest monthly growth rate, up 2%.
- Ontario was second, with rent climbing 1.9%.
- Hawthorne ranked third, with rent increasing by 1.7% last month.
