Season 3 of the “Sex and the City” spinoff “And Just Like That” is underway and a new face is joining the cast.
Actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell revealed she’ll play Mary, a new addition to the bunch.
“Here comes Mary #andjustlikethat,” the former host of “The View,” wrote in a post on Instagram alongside a photo of her script titled “Outlook Good,” the name of Season 3’s first episode. It was written and directed by Michael Patrick King.
In the next photo, the “A League of Their Own” actress debuted a new, longer hairstyle.
Immediately after O’Donnell made the announcement, her comments were flooded with excitement from fans and friends.
“Love it,” wrote Kathy Griffin.
“We love it,” commented Ilana Glazer of “Broad City” fame.
“OMG I’m shaking, I’m shaking,” said “Sherri” producer Norman Baker.
Tony Award-winning actress Marissa Jaret Winokur commented she was “obsessed” over this.
O’Donnell’s entrance into the HBO series comes after the exit of Sara Ramirez’s character Che Diaz and Karen Pittman’s role of Nya Wallace.
That same day Sarah Jessica Parker also posted her script for the same episode.
“Here. We. Go,” she wrote on Instagram of the table read.
While both Parker and O’Donnell have the same script, it’s not known if they’ll share any scenes together and what Mary will play in relation to Parker’s iconic character of Carrie.
