Request for Public Assistance – Impersonating an Officer Arrest

ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 4, 2022,) – Anaheim Police Officers have arrested a 35-year-old Tustin man for impersonating a police officer.

On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at about 8:30 p.m., Anaheim PD patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Euclid Street and Cerritos Avenue. The vehicle was reported to be displaying activated, policestyle emergency lights. Officer located the vehicle in question being driven by Tustin resident, Richard Moore. The investigation and evidence collected resulted in Moore’s arrest for impersonating a police officer. Detectives are not disclosing what evidence was collected during the investigation.

Detectives believe Moore may have previously presented himself as a police officer to unsuspecting victims. Anyone who may have been contact by Moore in Anaheim, while he posed as an officer is asked to call Anaheim PD Detective A. Pedroza at 714-765-1966.

Anyone having contact with Moore outside of Anaheim is asked to call their local law enforcement agency.
