Yesterday, Costa Mesa police officers pursued a stolen truck onto the 405 Freeway and stopped following it near MacArthur for safety reasons, according to the Irvine Police Department.
An Irvine patrol officer found the car on Rosa Drew Lane unoccupied a short time later.
Patrol officers and the Irvine Special Investigations Unit flooded the area to search for the suspects. HB-1, Huntington Beach PD’s helicopter, provided support overhead.
The officers quickly located the driver and took him into custody.
With the community’s help, the officers found the passenger hiding inside a vehicle parked in a garage, where she was also arrested.
The driver, Sebastian Haro Grajeda, 32, was charged with possessing a stolen car. The passenger, Brandie Nicole Dillman, 33, was charged with burglary, vandalism, and narcotics offenses.
The pair from Banning, which is in Riverside County, ended the day at the Orange County Jail.
The Costa Mesa PD will be handling the pursuit investigation.
