Placentia Bronco 12-and-under all-stars went undefeated over the weekend to capture the championship of the sectional title at Harvard Park.
Placentia defeated Irvine 12-1 in the championship game on Sunday. Both Placentia and Irvine, which won three games in a row to advance to the final, move on to the regional tournament his week in Placentia.
In the opener Friday, Placentia had a big first-inning and went on to defeat Santa Ana 13-1. On Saturday, the all-stars defeated Los Alamitos 12-1.
The tournament was hosted by Irvine Pony Baseball.
The schedule for the regional tournament has not been announced yet.
