Hyundai Motor America showcased two new vehicles at the LA Auto Show in November that Chief Executive Randy Parker said hinted at where the automaker is headed in the future.
One was a concept vehicle dubbed Crater which was born out of Hyundai’s design facility in Irvine. The Crater model is a working idea, according to Parker, and points to Hyundai’s potential plans for more off-road cars.
The second was the next-generation of Hyundai’s EV lineup, the Ioniq 6 N, which is scheduled for delivery in 2026. Parker told the Business Journal that while the consumer market is shifting towards hybrid vehicles, Hyundai won’t stop investing in electrification.
