“We got a complete team effort on both sides of the ball and on special teams,” said Segerstrom Coach Joseph Tagaloa. “Noah Tagaloa had three touchdowns to lead the way on offense. Ayden Morales added another one on offense and returned kick off for a touchdown. Andrew Diaz also had a rushing touchdown and a successful two-point conversion. Jason Salazar added another touchdown run as well.
“Defensively we were led by our linebackers Jullian Hernandez and Anthony Gomez who recovered a fumble that set up the go ahead score. Roman Saucedo also played great intercepting a pass in the end zone.”
Coach Tagaloa added that his team received solid efforts on special teams from “Sean Chandler and Vincent Armijo who flew around all night.
“Overall I am pleased with our effort and look forward to see where CIF places us,” he said. “Moving into the playoffs everyone is going to be solid, so we are going to prepare and be ready to go.”
Garden Grove finished 2-8 overall and 0-5 in league play.
