What made you want to adopt Hershey?
➤ I grew up with a rescue dog and wanted my kids to experience the same thing. I also heard the shelters were very full after Covid when people went back to work and couldn’t be around enough for their pets.
Tell us what you love most about his personality.
➤ I’m obsessed with Hershey. He really makes you work for his love, and it took him quite a while to settle in. But we persevered and it’s totally worth it. He makes our family feel complete.
What are a few of his favorite things?
➤ He has a rainbow-striped pillow that he likes to rest his head on when he’s on the sofa, and he gets so excited about his walks every day.
Does Hershey have any funny quirks?
➤ When we got him home, he was so scared and anxious. He’s definitely mellowed with age, loves pulling trash out of the trash cans in my teenagers’ rooms, and tells us exactly when it’s time for bed. He kind of rules the roost, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
