What made you want to adopt Chief?
We had lost our previous dog from cancer. We had her for 11 years, and we felt a large emptiness without her as part of our family. A picture of Chief popped up in the newspaper, and I felt an overwhelming need to go see this dog in person.
Tell us what you love most about his personality.
Chief has brought such joy and love into our lives. He is very mellow and matches our energy levels. We love when he tries to talk, especially when he is trying to hurry me up to take him for a walk. And if it wasn’t for Chief, I would seriously be a total couch potato with lots of unnecessary aches and pains. He loves everyone and can never get enough rubs and affection.
Does Chief have any funny quirks?
Chief doesn’t play with toys. He sleeps a lot during the day. We have a desert turtle, who roams our back yard. Chief has learned to tolerate him, even when the “tortuga” blindly bumps into him or walks across his tail when Chief is laying on the patio.
