Pacifica (18-2, 6-0) was led by Chad Gurnea, who was 1 for 3; Felix, who was 1 for 2, Tristin Brinkman, who was 1 for 3 and Ryan Anema who was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Aiden Marquez was 1 for 4 with an RBI and Victor Cardona 1 for 1 with a run scored. Logan Brady pitched six innings and struck out four while Junior Zendejas pitched one inning and struck out two.
TESORO 4, MISSION VIEJO 3: Jack Peper had a walk off single for the Titans (15-6, 7-1). He went 1 for 3 with an RBI, Jackson Freeman was 2 for 2 with a home run and two RBI and brok the single season home run record with eight.
VILLA PARK 2, SANTIAGO 1: The Spartans wrapped up the Boras Classic with a victory Friday. Justin Tims had a walk-off single to drive in the winning run for the Spartans. Mason Miles notched the victory in relief.
WOODBRIDGE 12, SAGE HILL 1: Austin Nagoya pitched three innings, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out two in the Pacific Coast League game Friday at Ryan Lemmon Stadium. Justin Durby, who pitched two innings allowing no hits and no runs got the win. Durby’s record is 2-0. Jacob Perez pitched two innings, allowing one hit and striking out one.
Matt Kuromoto was 1 for 3 with a double, run scored and two walks; Brandon Abernathy was 1 for 4 with three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases; Jake Amundson was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI, Tony DeMarco was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Chase Quezada was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a walk and Nolan Stottlemyer was 1 for 2 with a double, two runs scored. Alex Serafin and Daniel O’Hanlon each had an RBI.
League-leading Woodbridge (19-5, 15-2) swept the series from Sage Hill and gets ready for a two-game series next week with Beckman.
