On Friday, February 10, Supervisor Don Wagner, current Chairman of the Board of Board, kicked off his campaign for re-election to the Orange County Board of Supervisors in front of the Old Santa Ana Courthouse with supporters including Sheriff Don Barnes.

“I made a personal commitment to the residents of Orange County to protect our way of life; as Supervisor I have embraced the challenges and solutions to build a better Orange County. We were successful in bringing key parties together to build a state-of-the-art mental health facility, fund a veteran’s cemetery in Anaheim Hills, and improve public safety. I’m going to continue to push forward and fight for our residents. We have had great success, but my work is not done. I’m here to build on the successes we have had to improve the lives of every resident of the Third District and all of Orange County,” said Supervisor Don Wagner.

“Supervisor Don Wagner has been a tireless advocate for public safety in our community,” said Sheriff Don Barnes. “Orange County public safety agencies are dealing with new challenges every day such as fentanyl use, human trafficking, and rising crime rates. Supervisor Wagner will continue to be a partner to law enforcement to tackle these issues head-on and I fully support his re-election.”

In addition to his announcement, Supervisor Wagner released a strong endorsement list that included dozens of Orange County’s leaders including local elected leaders from the Third District. Supervisor Wagner also released a vigorous schedule of events in his district in order to hear from constituents and gather the resources he will need to conduct a winning campaign.”

Supervisor Don Wagner will be running in the Third Supervisorial District, which includes portions of Anaheim including Anaheim Hills, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Orange, Rancho Santa Margarita, North Tustin, portions of Tustin, Villa Park, Yorba Linda as well as unincorporated portions of Orange County. Supervisor Wagner already represents nearly two-thirds of the new Third District drawn in 2020 and is currently the only announced candidate.
